Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life when he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first starring role on television. Coleman Domingo is quickly becoming my favorite actor. He really knows how to turn reading a phone book into a compelling story. And it’s almost as compelling as The Madness right now. The dialogue is almost embarrassingly bad. They try so hard to be flashy and clever, but it feels very predictable and corny. There’s a lot about the story from the beginning that defies even the most basic sense. I find myself constantly asking ‘why why why?!’ So much so that after episode 2, I skipped episode 7 just to see what happens at the end. I have little doubt that the episodes I skipped are little more than a lot of overloaded storytelling and unnecessary dialogue.
